A practical way to learn

More than a page of notes.

We are developing a course that brings the responsibilities of a transport manager into focus. Learn a topic, check your understanding, then apply it to a realistic fleet scenario.

Learn the essentials

Planned bite-sized videos and plain-English notes, with progress saved so you can return when it suits you.

02 / APPLY

Make the decisions

Work through fictional jobs, vehicle schedules, maintenance records and operating costs inside GLS.

See what you have learned

Quizzes and worked scenarios will help you identify gaps and understand the reasoning behind an answer.

Transport Manager CPC

A course with the working day in mind.

The course is being designed around the CILT road haulage Transport Manager CPC syllabus. The detailed syllabus mapping, assessment arrangements and launch date will be published before enrolment opens.

This is Transport Manager CPC preparation, distinct from periodic Driver CPC training. Course completion alone does not award the qualification.

Planned learning areas

  • Managing a road haulage business
  • Costing, finance and commercial decisions
  • Operator responsibilities and compliance
  • Drivers, working time and journey planning
  • Vehicle maintenance and road safety
  • Domestic and international operations
Your GLS practice area

Start with 20 trucks.
Grow with the business.

Our fictional fleet will grow to 80 trucks as the course progresses. Increasing demand brings more vehicles, more jobs and more decisions — giving each lesson a practical context.

The planned training environment uses fictional customers and records, with space to practise without affecting a live transport operation.

Before you get started

A few useful answers.

Can I enrol now?

Not yet. We are building the course and practice environment. Pricing, launch dates and the full course specification will be published before enrolment opens. No course payments are being taken here.

Will it work on my phone?

The learning platform is planned for phones and laptops, with short lessons and saved progress. Some detailed fleet exercises may be easier on a laptop. Only study when safely parked and off duty.

Is this an approved CILT course?

No CILT endorsement or approved-centre status is currently claimed. We intend to map the course to the relevant CILT syllabus. Exam entry and assessment arrangements will be confirmed before enrolment opens.

Do I need to use GLS in my own business?

No. The plan is to provide a dedicated fictional GLS practice area as part of the course. You will not need to bring real customer or business records.
